Javier Santisteban

Javier Santisteban (el "Oso") es investigador CNEA-CONICET (Categoría Independiente) en el Departamento de Física de Neutrones. El Dr Santisteban trabaja en el desarrollo y la aplicación de técnicas de dispersión de neutrones y de rayos X de alta energía, en respuesta a problemas de ingeniería y ciencia de los materiales, principalmente dentro del área nuclear. Además se desempeña como profesor adjunto en el Instituto Balseiro en las asignaturas "Materiales Nucleares" y "Mediciones Nucleares". Actualmente dirige el proyecto "Tensiones internas en tubos de presión de Zr-2.5%Nb para la industria nuclear" (CONICET) y participa del proyecto "Laboratorio de uso de haces de neutrones del reactor RA-10" (CNEA). Entre sus intereses actuales se encuentra también el desarrollo de técnicas avanzadas de radiografía neutrónica que exploten la información que contiene el espectro de un haz de neutrones luego de atravesar un objeto.
