The school will be held at the Institut d'Etudes Scientifiques de Cargèse, an Institute specially constructed for this type of meetings. The institute is located on the west sea shore of the french mediterranean island of Corsica at the entrance of Cargèse, a pleasant village of considerable charm. The small village of about 800 inhabitants, lies 50 km north of Ajaccio (Corsica's capital). Beaches are located in the vicinity of the Institute and the village, offering beautiful landscapes and landmarks of historical interest.

The lodging of participants (for the duration of the conference only, i.e. from Monday October 16th, till Saturday October 28th) is organized in apartments with single or double bedrooms, located at the Institute or in the village. It will be arranged following, as much as possible, the participants preferences. Double room lodging is included in the registration fee. Single rooms will be provided on special request in the limit of the available places at extra cost. Lunch for all participants as well as coffee breaks within the school, will be served at the Institute and is included in the registration fee. Dinners are not covered and are at the care of each participant.
 

The best way to get to Corsica is to join Ajaccio. Ajaccio can be reached by plane from Paris, Marseille or Nice. It can also be reached by boat from Marseille, Nice or Genova. From Nice, a high speed boat could be taken, which arrives to Ajaccio in 3hours 30 minutes.

Once in Ajaccio, there are regular bus transfers from Ajaccio road station to Cargèse twice a day (except on Sundays) [see public bus schedule]. Other possibilities are taking a taxi, or renting a car.

Transfers by bus from Ajaccio airport to Cargèse on arrival (Monday October 16th) and departure (Saturday October 28th) will be organized by the school at pre-fixed times, and are included in the registration fee. Time schedules will be announced on this site (other schedules will NOT be covered).
